Sony RX10 IV with fixed f2.4-4, 24-600mm (25x optical) zoom lens. This superzoom camera has a 1-inch, 20.1-megapixel sensor. The viewfinder is great, making it easy to find the bird. Zoom and auto-focus are very fast, making it more likely to get the photo before the bird is gone.
Hi Diane, Great photos of Tricolors! I'm the Tricolored Blackbird Conservation Coordinator for Audubon California and I was wondering if you found a breeding colony there and what the numbers might be. Also if there is a colony, what are they nesting in? I'll add your information to the Tricolored Blackbird Portal database (tricolor.ice.ucdavis.edu). Thanks!
