Digiscoped with iPhone from far away, at Agency Lake 9/21/14. Little Gull is on left, Bonaparte's Gull on right. This is an adult non-breeding Little Gull: note the pale wingtips, dark area on top of head and dark smudge behind eye. I also saw the Little Gull in flight, as it banked with full sunlight on the underwings, and they were obviously dark. Little Gull was smaller than nearby Bonaparte's Gull.
